Serving Delco Days

Serving Delco Days (SDD) is a community-focused initiative hosted at the U.D.T.J Community Center, bringing together local organizations to connect them directly with marginalized populations. This program provides an opportunity for organizations to expand their services areas and resources directly to community members. In exchange for the participation of organizations such as yours, we are able to improve the accessibility of resources for our BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and youth populations.

Participating in Serving Delco Days is easy! Learn more about the details and how you can get involved below!

  • Community Engagement: Interact directly with marginalized and hard to reach communities extending the reach of your organization's services.

Positive Impact: Make a meaningful difference by contributing to the well-being of the community.

Collaborative Spirit: Join hands with other organizations in a collective effort to serve and support the local community.

  • Serving Delco Days will allow you and your organization to set-up resources and services directly in our center in our guest office once a month.

Our Office is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday.

You are given the flexibility to determine the time of your SDD event, but we recommend a minimum of four hours.

All SDDs need to be scheduled and confirmed by Operations and Services and Resources no later than a week prior to the event.

Serving Delco Days is a BYOS (bring your own supplies) event, we ask that you bring all supplies and resources you would need.

You will be given access to our guest office which has a desk and two chairs.

If you need a place to store personal items, documents, etc. We have a locked cabinet for you to use.

The center has a waiting room for which people receiving services/resources can use.

If you require a larger space than the guest office for your event please contact operations@udtj.org to reserve the common area.

There is a volunteer staffed front desk upon arrival of people seeking services to check them in.

    You have the ability to tailor your SDD event to your needs but our three main types of events are the following;

Direct service event: A direct service event allows you to provide services directly to clients at our office, Ex. Counseling, etc.

Referral event: An event where you are able to meet with walk-ins and get connected directly into your systems and networks.

Info event: An event where you are generally sharing information with the public and community members about your services/resources.

  • Get Involved:

There are no reservation or rental fees for your participation, and organizations can express their interest by completing the Serving Delco Day Request Form. Join us in creating a day filled with unity, support, and service.
