Join us for The People’s Showcase & Open Mic, a vibrant celebration of community creativity and healing through art! This special evening marks the conclusion of our Healing Through Art Program, where participants have spent the summer exploring self-expression and storytelling through our theme, “Beyond the Filter.”
Listen as our community artists, writers, and poets share their heartfelt work from original poetry and short stories to visual art that reflects resilience, identity, and growth.
At the end of the showcase, guests are invited to:

DelCo Activists Monthly Brunch
Join us for the DelCo Activists Monthly Brunch at the UDTJ Community Center! This is a vibrant and inclusive gathering for activists and community members passionate about social justice and direct action. Share ideas, tips, and strategies for protesting and organizing, while building connections with like-minded individuals in a welcoming environment.
Event Highlights:
Discuss and organize local community efforts for social justice
Share tips and tricks for effective protesting and direct actions
Enjoy a potluck-style brunch (BYOB – Bring Your Own Brunch or Beverage!)
UDTJ will supply donuts, coffee, and lights snacks with a rotating potluck for additional brunch supplies.

Delco LGBTQIA+ History Series
We invite you to join us for the Delco LGBTQ+ History Series, a monthly community program hosted by the U.D.T.J. Community Center.
📅 When: The third Tuesday of each month, October–June

About the Series
Throughout the year, we’ll explore LGBTQ+ history at global, national, state, and local levels. Together, participants will research and create a Delco LGBTQ+ History Exhibit to be proudly showcased at Delco Pride 2026.
The group will also plan for a special field trip in March to enhance our collective learning.
This sign-up form is open to community members, LGBTQ+ GSA students, advisors, affirming faith communities, local organizations, and partners. Whether you’re joining as a learner, collaborator, or resource sharer (such as libraries or organizations with archives), we welcome your involvement!

Sober Halloween Party
Join us on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, for a substance-free celebration at the UDTJ Community Center (115 Fairfield Ave, 2nd Floor, Upper Darby, PA 19082). Expect cozy vibes, costume fun, and community connection—no alcohol or drugs, just good music, games, and plenty of treats. Come solo or with friends, meet new people, and enjoy a welcoming space for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and allies.
What to expect:
Costume contest with sweet prizes (family-friendly looks encouraged)
Pumpkin-adjacent games, spooky playlists, and chill lounge areas
Mocktails, cider, and snacks (donations appreciated to support the Center)
Resource table with harm-reduction info and recovery/community supports
Clear consent, zero-tolerance for hate or harassment—everyone deserves a safe night
Who: 18+ community members
Cost: Free; donations welcome to keep programs going
Accessibility: Stairs, seating options, gender-inclusive restrooms. Let us know any needs in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
The BIPOC Circle
We’re excited to launch the BIPOC Circle Initiative at the UDTJ Community Center on the 2rd Thursday of the month with a free Community Dinner to kick things off! 🚗 Parking is available across the street at the Upper Darby Municipal Lot, and this event is 18+ only.
Monthly Outreach
Our Monthly Outreach at 69th Street Terminal brings essential resources and friendly faces directly to our neighbors. If you’d like to support, we’re accepting hygiene items—soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and more—or you can volunteer with us on-site. Community Center and Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center invite you to an important community gathering where we will share the findings of the Pennsylvania LGBTQIA+ Health Needs Assessment. This statewide survey highlights the unique health needs, challenges, and strengths of LGBTQIA+ communities, and your presence will help shape the conversation on how we address these needs locally.

💪 Super Strengths Lab:
Every superhero has their powers — what’s yours? Use crayons or markers to design your very own hero and discover your “super strengths”!
🧠 Zombie-Free Zone (Feed the Brain Toss):
Toss “treat cards” into the Brain Bucket! Healthy treats keep your brain happy and balanced (dopamine + serotonin teamwork 💥), while tricky treats get set aside.

We’ll have printed handouts from Cora’s slides on trauma, mental health, and distress tolerance — perfect for grown-ups who want to learn more.

Once we wrap up, join our Halloween Kahoot Quiz to test what you’ve learned and earn some ghostly bragging rights! (We’ll share the game code once it’s ready.)
