The center will be closed for Election Day. However, around 9 PM, if you’re feeling anxious about the upcoming election and need a safe space to watch the results, join us at the UDTJ Community Center for our latest event to date. We will be at the center from 9pm - midnight! All are welcome. Make sure to cast your vote!

Opioid & Substance Recovery Peer Support Group
Delaware County Recovery Peer Support Group:
All workshops are offered in a virtual format. Feel free to attend via zoom.

Our monthly peer support group are for individuals 18+ and up who are in recovery from opioid use disorder and/or substance use disorder.
These community peer support groups are designed to give residents in Delaware County a safe space to build friendships, support each other in recovery, and learn more about the resources available to them. These support meet-ups are meant to provide a safe inclusive and supportive environment for individuals who have been impacted by or are battling OUD/SUD. You are not alone.

Join us for our third Nonjudgmental Zone session from 4-6pm. This space is open to ages 14 and up.
The Nonjudgmental Zone is an essential community support meetup to create a safe, confidential space for those with loved ones who have/are battling OUD/SUD or have struggled themselves. We will prioritize relationship building, confidentiality, and resources that can be utilized by participants.

National Coming Out Day Celebration
Join us in Naylor’s Run Park for our National Coming Out Day Celebration!
What to expect:
This is our first year doing our annual picnic as a full fledged celebration. We have 15 - 20 vendors coming to provide resources and services to our community! We will also have a food truck and mobile HIV/STD testing van from Mosaic Medical Center in Sharon Hill!
Event Grounds: National Coming Out Day will take place in Naylor’s Run Park. Use the entrance near 1550 Garrett Rd, Upper Darby, PA 19082. ENTRANCE IS UNDER THE TROLLEY BRIDGE! The weather is looking great for Saturday! This is a park so bug spray is recommended. Public parking will be located across the street in Barclay Square Shopping Center.

We have some fun activities in the park including jenga, lawn games, frisbee, etc! The whole event is age inclusive and community members of all ages are welcome to enjoy and celebrate National Coming Out Day with us in the park!
Our event is rain or shine but in the event of inclement weather we will put out a notice at least 48 hours in advance. Attendees should park at the Barclay Square Parking Lot located on Garrett Road, Upper Darby, PA , 19082 and cross under the trolley bridge!

This session will focus on creating a relapse action plan, recognizing warning signs, and understanding relapse as part of the recovery process. Join us on the last Tuesday of the month from 3pm - 6pm as we partner with Mosaic Medical Center and other organizations to provide free HIV and STD testing, safe sex kits, and recovery / harm reduction resources in the Upper Darby Township Municipal Parking Lot, at 100 Garrett Road, Upper Darby Pa, 19082.
Nonjudgmental Zone
Join us for our third Nonjudgmental Zone session on Friday, September 20 from 4-6pm. This space is open to ages 14 and up.
The Nonjudgmental Zone is an essential community support meetup to create a safe, confidential space for those with loved ones who have/are battling OUD/SUD or have struggled themselves. We will prioritize relationship building, confidentiality, and resources that can be utilized by participants.

Overdose Prevention Strategies
Join us for an Overdose Prevention Training on Friday, September 13 from 4-6pm. This is open for all ages to attend to learn more about signs/symptoms of an overdose and how to properly use Narcan and fentanyl test strips.
This is a training on overdose prevention that will dive into opioid dependence and substance misuse, recognizing symptoms of dependence and misuse, the rise of safe injection sites, recognizing symptoms of overdoses, and Narcan and fentanyl test strip trainings.

Our center is located on the second floor of 115 Fairfield Ave, Upper Darby PA 19082. The entrance to the Center is on the side facing the trolley tracks as close to H-mart and the tiny alley. Look for the UDTJ on the door or the green awning!
The center is readily available via public transit on the 101 and 102 trolley or via buses from the 69th Street Transportation Center.
