Community Club Initiative

Are you passionate about a hobby, interest, or activity? Do you want to create a space for friends and neighbors to connect and share experiences? The UDTJ Community Center in Upper Darby, invites you to start and run your own community club!

Whether you're looking to host a book club, start a crafting group, organize fitness sessions, or simply hang out with friends, the possibilities are endless. We welcome all ideas and interests. Starting a club is easy and completely free for individuals from marginalized communities or those looking to serve our BIPOC, LGBTQQIA+, and youth communities.

Starting Your Community Club

If you are interested in starting a community club, please take a moment to tell us more about your idea, what you would like to do, and let us know if you have an idea of what days/times you would like to meet! You can fill out the form or email us at operations@udtj.org. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

We are able to host community clubs nearly every day of the week. All you need to do is check with us first!

I accept that submission of this form does not guarantee approval of my club and that UDTJ reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, and deny any community club for any reason.

Regular Event Scheduling

Dear organizations, non-profits, and community groups,
We are excited to extend an invitation for you to host your events at our community center.

Our center is the perfect venue for bringing your ideas and projects to life. Whether you're looking to hold workshops, fundraisers, networking events, or community gatherings, our flexible and accommodating spaces can cater to your needs.

We understand the importance of sharing your story with the world, and we believe that the environment in which you do so can truly make a difference.

RESERVATION STEPS:

Find an available time slot in the event reservation calendar. The normal time slot is about two hours each evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There are mid-day timeslots depending on the date and time.
After you reserve your event on the calendar, we will reach out to you to provide more information regarding event space rules and confirm your reservation. YOUR RESERVATION IS NOT AUTOMATICALLY CONFIRMED. We will reach out to discuss your event further before confirming your reservation..
