Join us for a night to remember as we celebrate U.D.T.J.’s 2024 accomplishments and look towards the future of Delco’s Queer and BIPOC Safe Spaces!

The main event will feature:

  • DJ & Dancing from DJ Nuzzles.

  • Drag Show performances.

  • Awards for community trailblazers.

  • Elegant buffet dinner from Drexelbrook’s kitchen

  • Cash bar with a specialty cocktail.

This celebration honors and raises money for the incredible individuals who have been champions for the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ youth communities, fostering understanding and fighting for justice.

2024 UDTJ Awardees

  • Understanding Award

    The Understanding Award honors those who embody a deep comprehension of the role we each play in the grand march towards ending discrimination, and inequality in America. This award is presented to individuals or organizations who recognize the realities faced by BIPOC, LGBTQQIA+, and other marginalized communities through their work. Recipients have demonstrated a commitment to listening to diverse perspectives and fostering communication to build a bridge of mutual respect and progress. Their work reflects our belief that understanding is the foundation for social change.

  • Devotion Award

    The Devotion Award celebrates those whose hearts are fully committed to the fight for equity and justice. It recognizes individuals or organizations who, through patience and persistence, seek to end systemic racism and discrimination. Recipients of this award exemplify devotion not only in the time and energy they invest but in their unwavering pursuit of truth, goodness, and equality in every aspect of their lives. Their dedication serves as a cornerstone for the sustained, long-term progress necessary to reshape our society.

  • Take Action Award

    The Take Action Award is given to those who embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s call for progress through action, not passivity. This award celebrates individuals or organizations that actively engage in organizing, activism, and self-sacrifice, understanding that real change does not come without effort. Whether through emotional resilience, strategic organizing, or direct involvement, recipients live out the value of taking action to move humanity forward. They are leaders who understand that activism is not just an activity but a lifestyle, dedicated to breaking down barriers and advancing justice.

  • Justice Award

    The Justice Award recognizes those who have committed themselves to fighting for equity and reform in the pursuit of a more just society. Recipients of this award exemplify the values of fairness, equity, and resilience, using their voice and actions to dismantle systems of oppression. Through advocacy, activism, and direct impact, they inspire communities to demand and work towards justice for all, reflecting UDTJ’s mission of systemic change and accountability.

  • Ally of the Year Award

    The Ally of the Year Award honors an individual or organization that has made a significant impact in Delaware County by supporting UDTJ’s mission and advancing justice for our marginalized communities. This ally has been a steadfast advocate for BIPOC, LGBTQQIA+, and underserved groups in DelCo, actively working alongside them to fight systemic injustice. Their dedication to local grassroots efforts and fostering progress embodies the true spirit of allyship, driving lasting change and empowerment for all communities in Delaware County.

  • Ally of the Year Award

    The Ally of the Year Award honors an individual or organization that has made a significant impact in Delaware County by supporting UDTJ’s mission and advancing justice for our marginalized communities. This ally has been a steadfast advocate for BIPOC, LGBTQQIA+, and underserved groups in DelCo, actively working alongside them to fight systemic injustice. Their dedication to local grassroots efforts and fostering progress embodies the true spirit of allyship, driving lasting change and empowerment for all communities in Delaware County.

  • Volunteer of the Year Award

    The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual whose dedication and efforts have made a profound impact on UDTJ and Delaware County. This award celebrates a volunteer who has consistently gone above and beyond, contributing time, energy, and passion to advance UDTJ’s mission of justice and equity for Black, BIPOC, LGBTQQIA+, and other marginalized groups. Their commitment to community service and grassroots action has strengthened UDTJ’s impact and driven positive change in DelCo.

Cocktail Hour

$150 per person  

  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Cocktail Hour) + Gala from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM.  

  • Meet with the board members, staff, and sponsors behind the scenes.

  • Includes complimentary bar and hors d'oeuvres during the exclusive cocktail hour.
