Civic Participation

UDTJ wants to get more Upper Darbians get involved in their local government and the decisions being made in their community. From community service to political awareness the more people that get involved the better democracy functions.

Participation in Upper Darby has always been important but many times the same voices are in the room misleading elected officials as to the real desires of the community.

Getting involved checklist:

  1. Attend a City Council Meeting,

  2. Submit a public comment,

  3. Attend a local community group meeting,

  4. Organize at least one community action in your neighborhood,

  5. Talk and introduce yourself to your neighbors on your block.
