We truly extend our deepest gratitude for all of your generous donations and unwavering support towards making Delaware County's first BIPOC, LGBTQQIA+, and youth community center a reality!
Your commitment to fostering inclusivity and community empowerment has played a crucial role in achieving this historic milestone.
We are super excited to announce and invite everyone to our ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Saturday, February 10, from 12 pm to 6 pm.
Accessibility Information: The center is currently located on the second floor with only stair access. We are currently work on securing grants for the installation of a chairlift and will be hosting some events at the Upper Darby One Center to improve accessibility.
Parking Information:
Please note that parking directly in front of the center is typically difficult due to traffic. We recommend that all attendees park at the Upper Darby Municipal Lot located on Garrett Rd. Please make sure to pay for your parking at the kiosk closest to the Fairfield Ave Septa Trolley stop (We want to make sure you do not get a ticket).
Parking is currently $1 an hour for parking.
We ARE Black history. We ARE LGBTQQIA+ history. This event marks a historic day for BIPOC and LGBTQQIA+ communities in Delaware County while we also celebrate Black history month.
Once again, thank you for your incredible support, and we can not wait to be open to the public! We have been working around the clock to be able to provide resources, services, and programs to Delaware County’s marginalized communities. We look forward to celebrating the making of Black and LGBTQQIA+ history with you and the entire community!
